Ratanakkiri Provincial Court finds two accused not guilty in the case of murdered reporter
Today the Ratanakkiri Provincial Court announced its verdict in the case of murdered reporter Hang Serei Oudom and found the husband and wife charged with the brutal murder not guilty. The decision was based on an apparent lack of sufficient evidence to warrant a conviction.

The Cambodian Center for Human Rights (“CCHR”) releases today – 26 August 2013 – a handbook outlining criminal procedures in Cambodian courts. This handbook - “Pre-Trial and Trial Procedures: A Handbook for Criminal Procedure in Cambodian Courts” - is intended to be a user-friendly guide that lays out the key pre-trial and trial procedures and the basic appeal process in Cambodian courts, as defined in the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Kingdom of Cambodia (the “CCPC”).
